Jim, what are you getting top end with your '07 200 and the 4.3?

I just touch 49 Mph with my '02 200 with 4.3GXi using a 22" 4 blade Comprop. I estimate my 0-20 to be in the 5~5.5s range.

I just recently obtained software that allows my cellphone GPS to confirm speed. I'll do some runs this weekend and let you know. By the speedo, with just me, a half tank of gas and quite a bit of fine trimming I've hit just over 50 mph using the stock 14.25 x 21 AL prop.

Well, FW indicates I should get 51 mph, and I hear they are usually right on the money. Anyway, let us not forget that the Speedos are known to be inaccurate. The GPS will tell the real story. More to come.

Almost forgot, yes I am very happy with the hole shot.

Test driving the 21' Ebbtide with the 5.0, AI I reached about 48 mph WOT at 4800 RPM with a less than impressive hole shot. Mind you thats with only 2 persons and 1/2 fuel. I'm not saying they are identical, but the published weight was about the same. Whereas my 210SS w 6.2L/BI gets about 54 mph, 7 pass, full fuel and still able to get 2 skiers up. It all depends on your intended use as well. If it's just going to be you and the misses, then ignore my post. If you're planning to party it up with a full boat load, skiing and stuff every weekend, then I'd reconsider your power package.

Well, it's going to be a little bit of both but I really dont need to get over 50 MPH with 7 passengers on board just cruising and I can still get skiers up with that many people on I did it with a 190HP 19 foot boat so I think this can get the job done.

Is your stock prop a 19 pitch mirage?

It is the stainless Mirage, but the specs say 14.75" x 21 pitch
