I just purchased a practically new 19" high five prop on eaby for a great price. I just need to get a flo-torq hub to fit my volvo drive. I'll post feedback when I get it mounted and on the lake. I'm hoping this makes a huge difference for watersports.

What did you pay for the five-blade prop?

$357 shipped. I still have to get the hub kit though. There's a dealer that sells the prop brand new on ebay for $415 + shipping which I think is a good deal as well.

Anyone know how hard it is to swap props. Can I do this at the lake pretty easily?

Get a tube of the Merc spline grease, extra hub nut lock tangs & a prop wrench if you don't have one. I bought the [color=#FFFF00]yellow[color=#000000] float-able plastic one Have used it several times playing W/different pitched props on the old boat.
If you have Merc , Just unbend lock tab put on work glove ,grab the prop nut W/1 hand & hold the prop W/gloved hand, brake the nut loose, pull off the prop & hub adapter. Then just re-install everything tighten nut & bend lock tang on 2 flats of the prop nut. It takes about 10 min to do a change

I have the Volvo Penta SX. Can you speak to swapping props on the Volvo?

Thanks!

Let me know how the transition to the 5-blade works out. I'm considering a new prop but I'd like to get some feedback about it before I start experimenting.
