I just bought my boat a few weeks ago. I was was wondering if anyone knows of an available extended swim platform for a 1998 RX. I see that FW lists some for other horizon models, but not the Rx.

Thanks in advance

Looks like it is a custom made part? I submitted a request for my boat since I didn't see it on the list.

I was hoping to find an "off the shelf" one.

Thanks.

Even if you have a first one, its pretty easy.

Welcome Aboard!

Since you have access to the machines, why don't you have a nice unit fabbed up and then powder coated! you could make a real nice unique unit. Stainless tubing could be bent and welded to make the frame, a "starboard" plastic sheet could be used as the center. Some custom features might be:
1-LED lights above (for night boarding) and below (to add some "spice" to your midnight dips) on separate switches of course.
2- A removable center to access the prop to be cleared of weeds and for inspection.
3- Relocated ladder in it's own sunken compartment.
4- A second sunken compartment for use as storage of water shoes or a cooler for your "beverages"
5- A rail system to tie up your tubes to, or fix a table to it for barbecuing.

I am sure you will eventually think of many more uses.

Good Luck.

You can still get them from FW since the hull is identical to the more recent 183 models.

Send me a PM with your email and I'll forward the quote with part numbers. The cost last year was about $1,400 not including installation, which is probably another $500 unless you're comfortable drilling holes in your hull below the water line.
