Was out today & was getting ready to anchor for 2nd or 3rd time today. When I picked up the anchor to throw it & the clevis's bolt at the shank to chain fell on the floor & completely disconnected from the anchor  A couple seconds later & I would've anchor less for the rest of the day. I'm gonna locktite both clevis's before I go out again.

You might want to consider using Monel wire ( a corrosion resistant copper-nickel alloy) to wire up the pin to the shackle. The advantage being that it is a visible means of seeing it is secure, if the Loctite fails you won't know until it's too late; (if the Loctite is cyanoacrylate based, it won't like being in water much).

I don't think fresh water would effect Lock tite, we have high strength & removable 242. I do have .032, .025, .020 stainless steel safety wire from work & .020 copper break away too. Maybe I'll use that.
