Yesterday I was winterizing my boat, when I pulled the plug in the manifold on the driver side of the boat, I got water and little chunks of what looked like flaky metal. Kind of looks like little rocks too, but there was a bit of a rust color on a few of the chunks. All the other drain plugs just let water out of the block, no funny stuff. Anyone ever had this or know what this could be??

Try to wiggle the water pump pully if it does you may have a water pump going.
Hope this helps Gregg

Little rocks more than likely got sucked up in some very shallow water. They might have loosened some internal metal as well, thus causing the "shavings" you see.
