Hi, I have a 2005 Horizon 200 and I have noticed that water is accumulating in the bilge when I am out on the water for the day. It seems it may be coming from the anchor locker and then down into the bilge. At first I thought the cooling system may be leaking but I took it out to monitor that and couldn't find anything coming from there. Has anybody had this same problem or know of what may be the problem and/or how to fix it. Thanks ahead of time!

Check that the cap on your engine flush hose is super tight. I finally after two seasons discovered water was trickling, and then spraying depending on engine speed water into the engine bay. You never see it at speed because you're not about to open the engine hatch while doing 30 MPH, but, if you sit at idle and briefly bump your RPM's up to about 2500 or so you'll be able to see if that is the source. On my '02 200 I found that the ruber gasket inside the cap is pretty hard, and not sealing as well as it shoud be. I have to use a wrench to get it tight enough to stop leaking.

Anyway, I sleep a lot better these days after finally putting that one to rest after two seasons.

How much water accumulates over what period of time?

I took the engine cover off as well as the panel in front of it for an hour to take a look. I had someone else drive and couldnt see anything.

It accumulates About a quart an hour

I suspect it is entering from the discharge/ski locker drain hole or the protective plate hole when it goes below the water level
