As you know it is winter here in Australia. Fortunately where I use our boat on the River Murray the winters are mild and pleasant, sunny winter days are common. Unfortunately it was a bit overcast for the camera on the day, but sit right back for a minute and take in a few of the sights on the River Murray downstream from Morgan.

This a picture of a restored paddle steamer. Originally it would have been steam powered but I believe it is now powered by a 5.0 litre V8 Ford motor.

Our H180 may not be as fast as some of the boats on this forum but everyone likes to go flat out every once in a while

This tree house always makes me smile. You wouldn't want to take the wrong door if you camped out one night

I took this photo from the bow of the boat by holding the camera in my outreached hand and snapped the shutter
Well I hope you enjoyed a few pics from the cruise

Awesome shots Ardy, I always find the pictures taken by the forum members to be fascinating and you certainly outdid yourself with that collection :D

How is the level of the Murray River these days? In recent times we have heard a lot about the rainfall issues of Australia in the media I understand some of the main rivers/lakes have been greatly influenced. Would be interested to hear what the average depth is where you are cruising.

We have had such a crap winter here in Auckland (strong cold winds from the South and above average rainfall) which is interesting as many of the forum contributors have indicated the US summer has also been poor so far.

This is our second winter owning a boat and certainly it makes you even more eager for the longer, warmer days to return!

Looking forward to heading out with family and friends again, beers in the icebox and portable BBQ for the shore. Roll on Dec/Jan/Feb....

Till then will continue to live vicariously through the exploits of other members in the Northern Hemisphere. Keep the pictures rolling in!

Brilliant pictures!! My mind sees you sitting on that chair on your dock, rifle in hand, blowing the froth of a few beer's, throwing a few shrimps on the bar-bi, and taking pot shots at passing crocs

Great shots!

Is that your fire extinguisher mounted up under the Helm (Dash area)? I have been looking for a good spot and something other than the plastic holder that comes with the extinguisher.

Great job Ardy!

I am envious of you eventhough it is supposed to be the "prime" boating season here!

We have yet to seriously use our boat other than to float and have some lunch tucked up tight to shore because the winds have been exceptionally strong. Unfortunately the only time I have for boating is on weekends and that has been the worst time for weather.... There have been many nice evenings but I don't get home early enough to enjoy them.

Yes that is the fire extinguisher mounted high on the footrest under the dash, it never gets in the way yet I can get at it if I need it.
As for the river level below the loch number 1 not good , above loch number 1 where we boat all is good
