What a horrible experience.

The only thing I can offer is this: although I've never lost a season over something this terrible, I've lost virtually entire seasons due to combinations of weather, unavailability of either myself or my wife, etc., and spent days ranting, being p$ssed off, etc., that I should have spent doing something - anything - with my kids. Believe me, I understand the frustration!! But, you'll feel better in the long run if you don't let this ruin the time with your family.

Never a truer word said. Always focus on the positive, never let the negative of things like the weather which you can't control infuence the way you behave with the people that really matter. Your time with them passes far too quickly.

After not wanted to have to invest thousands of dollars more to get a new boat I was able to get my boat completely fixed and back on the water. Seeing the finished product I am happy to have my own boat back and not have walked away from it.

Expensive lesson learned.

That's great to hear...there is still plenty of season left...we all have had close calls and various problems with boats...in my case I couldn't use it for the 2006 season because the deck had gotten so rotted that the boat was no longer structurally safe...I spend that spring and summer cutting out the old deck...ripping out foam....assessing the extent of the rot...deciding to have a 'glass shop repair the stringers...re-installing the foam and deck myself...then going back to the 'glass shop to have the new deck gelcoated in non skid...got it back in the water in 2007 and it's been running fine ever since.....
