what oils do u use?

about to do my winterization on my h190, 5.0, for the first time. wondering what oils u guys use, i was thinking of running mobil one 25-40 cause i cant find full synthetic sae30, like the manual says, looked around and found no evidance of auto oils and marine oils being much differant an i have alsways liked mobile one products, also thinking about using normal auto syn gear oil too, any thoughts or recomendations?

lotta back and forth, problem is i dont have a volvo dealer anywhere near me and i just pulled the boat out and need to service it as the temp is dropping, i was going to run the merc 2540 oil but checking it out it is 8$ a quart and only a synthetic blend, crazy when mobil one is like 6$ and fully synthetic, plus i have used it in everything with the cleanest oil at change times, dont know what i will do yet but i do trailer mine and dont leave it in the water so the marine additives mean less to me. i wish mobil one made a straight thirty then i wouldnt be having this discussion with my self

Yep - this is a bag of worms with everyone having a different opinion!

Mobil themselves actually recommend Mobil 1 5W-50 for the 4.3GL that I have. So I think the 25W 40 you are looking at is a reasonable choice. For the sterndrive, Mobil recommend Delvac Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90.
