Hello to everyone, I'm a new member and just purchased my first boat. I love reading all the posts and so glad I found ifourwinns!
I wanted to share my story with everyone....
My wife and I agreed it was finally time to take the plunge and we were going to look for our first boat...5k budget so we could pay cash, open bow, at least a 4.3, 18ft min. After looking at numerous boats I realized that I wasn't going to be satisfied with what 5K would buy. The budget then went to 10-12K, still no luck. Finally I thought we found our boat, a 2006 Maxum, it met all of our needs, 18ft, 4.3, sport seating, very low hours, etc., it was beautiful but going to cost me around 17K out the door. I wanted to think on it a few days and see what else I could find for the same $$$. I went to another dealer to see a boat listed for 15K to compare, didn't like it so I knew the Maxum was going to be mine. Well before I left the salesman said let me show this really nice Four Winns. I already knew what they were asking so I politely told him it was out of my budget. Well long story short, I'm the proud new owner of a 2007 H200 for almost the same price as the Maxum. Not only is it two feet longer, it has a V8 and a whole lot more!

I have only been out a couple of times, nothing against Maxum, but I think I made the right decision.

I look forward to sharing my new experiences( hopefully all good ) with everyone.

I see that you are in Kentucky. I am too. Where are you from exactly, and what lake do you plan on making your summer home on the water?

I am less than 90 minutes from Cumberland, Cave Run and Laurel. My inlaws have a place on Barren River and we plan on boating there as well.

Congratulations on the new boat. I def. think you made the right decision and wont be disappointed. I am hoping to upgrade soon and after doing some online comparisons i can't really find anything that compares to FW. I will also be looking at the H200 and hope to find a good price on one. The H180 is a great boat but i want something a little bigger and with more power. Again congrats
