I have a 2001 Horizon 210, VP SX outdrive, which has a slight rubbing noise in steering. When wheel is turned left or right get rubbing noise from lower unit then goes away. Steering is smooth no play in steering. any ideas what this might be.
It is power steering.

May well be the shims on the lower pivot. Mine got awfully squeaky when the outdrive moved from side to side.
