Hi all,

I'm considering installing a sub into my 2007 H190 and have noticed that a bazooka sub is now factory fitted in the 2009 H190 model.

So now I'm very keen to know where the factory sub is mounted? Is an amp included in this setup?

- or have any other H190 owners have undertaken this type of project - what location/install method did you use?

Have just trawled the internet trying to find a pic but to no avail.

Can anyone here provide some clarity - would really appreciate some info and pics would be a bonus.

Many thanks
Chris

Hey Chris,

I know that Bazooka's come amplified so no need for an amplifier. I wouldn't worry too much about where they position the sub. If I were you I would move it about to see where it sounds best and then mount. This is an easy install since you just have to tap into some speaker wire and power it up and you're good to go.

Hey Chris,

FW mounts the bazooka sub under the port side "helm" area. You just lay down and look up and its right there. I'll try to get you pics this week.

I have a built in cooler under the port side of the helm. Not much room up there, but then again mines older. I saw a guy (Cant find the picture) who mounted his under the helm up high. Lots of space and I guess there is some space between the backside of the helm and the bow seating.

Thanks Wintermute, didn't think to try other boat models on the FW site! I'm assuming the woofer diameter must be only 6" or 8". Most integrated woofer tubes in the market here are 10" and I suspect that would be too large. Will do some measuring up over the weekend but will appreciate any further comments from forum members.

Now that I think of it, the sub tube on my H203 is visible from the storage area under the port side bow cushion, it seems to be fastened to the backside of the bulkhead between the helm and bow area, somewhat lower than what is shown on the H183 pics, so that is another option. Unfortunatelly I cant post pics at this time as the boat has been shrinked for the winter.

the wife and i were looking into this one this summer then never got around to picking one up.

we have the same cooler in the dash and were thinking of mounting this bellow in the panel between the helm and the bow. this would obviously be cutting involved which im' still a tad leary of but another option for ya if you haven't thought about it.

i think we found it online for more around 150 at one time.

would love to see pics of whatever you end up doing.
