Has anyone come up with a creative way to attach front fenders - that does not require drilling/ screwing in mounts? The design of the windshield leaves little option for hanging a fender. I was thinking of using the "hook" that the bimini strap clips onto, however I have not been able to locate any nylon clips (that I would attach to end of fender line) so as not to scratch the finish.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with an easy solution.

I went with the flat fenders that 'fold' over the curve of the hull. I just attach them to the cleats when needed.

I have the basic small, round fenders and put one on the rear cleat and one on the middle.

I tied a small rope around each so I can easily slip them off and on and made it adjustable so I can set the height of the fender.

Works out great and we even remember to bring them in

I have one tha clips to the front rail - i have two that are tied together so its double wide that clips to the front bimini loop below the windshield and i have on that ties t the rear grab handle and goes up and over the side

just a point of clarification, my boat does not have a (springline) cleat at mid-ship.

My old 17' Maxum had the same cleat configuration. I ended up installing a small loop connector inside the boat, underneath the side panels. The fender line would go up and over the sides of the windsheild. I didn't like that arrangement very much, but could never trust the suction cup mounts, and like you didn't want to drill into the exterior of the boat. Reminds me of Presidential elections - trying to pick the lesser of three evils.

I just tie the fender line through the bimini clip at the base of the windshield. It works alright, but it makes me wonder why they wouldn't just put a cleat there, as the front cleats are too far forward.

I use the grab rail and flip one over and then have on at midship. I would look at using the curved kind going forward.

I use a brass key ring like you would use with keys on your belt loop. Then I cut a small section of transom saver I had when I installed my transon saver and it works, but you are right it will scratch the finish if I didnt have that on there. You can also use plastidip to coat it and it wont scratch
