I have an '03 FourWinns 220. I moor my boat and cover it when not in use. I noticed when I throttle up some water leaks from under the dashboard and onto the floor. It is coming from the 2" hole that gives wiring access to the bow. So, obviously there is a small amount of water getting into a compartment in the bow and when the boat tips back, it leaks out of the hole. - I'm talking about a couple cups of water.
The problem is that this water is dripping on top of the radio chassis and causing the radio to stop working.
I was thinking I might need to drill some holes to somehow divert this water away from dripping on the radio....
Has anyone else seen this problem and what should I do?

Thanks,
Steve

Could be that the tube that feeds the speedometer has popped off....does your speed work?

Really? I think you are correct as my speedometer is not working. I haven't noticed an unhooked tube under the dash though and the water is coming from that hole access to the bow. Perhaps the tube is how hidden up under there. Hmmm.. hopefully I can reach it and reconnect to the gauge.
Thanks

That was my first guess as well. Maybe the tube has chafed through somewhere.

Yeah, look first at the back of your speedo. There is a tube that SHOULD be connected to the barbed fitting on the back of the gauge. If its NOT, simply re-connect it and put a small zip tie on it, no big deal. If its chaffed, I would simply cut it and use a dual end barbed fitting with a zip tie on each in to patch it...again, no big deal. Its a low pressure line, but will sure get you wet.

When I sea trialed by H200 (brand new), my feet got soaked as the tube popped off the first time I got up on plane.

Agreed. You have a hole in the speedo tube.
