Hi Rocky,

I have the 200 and the counter is the small digital box within the RPM dial. You can turn your key to acc and the time will display.

The only problem with the hour meter is that it will also count any time where the key is 'On', even if the engine is not. (Like a car, it's two clicks over to momentary 'start', then back to 'on'.) If, when listening to the radio or using another accessory you turn the key to the left 'Accy', the hour meter will not count any time. The dealer can get actual engine running time (and other information like RPMs, etc.) from the engine's computer chip.

Also, not many people know this, but you can take hours off of the boat's meter if you put the throttle in reverse.

I drove around the lake in reverse all day Saturday and I almost have a new boat again! :P

I've accidently left the ignition key in the on position a few times, 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there. It all adds up. At my 20 hour service, I'm going to try to get the dealer to pull the actual running time off of the chip. If the chip versus hour meter readings are significantly different, I might have been tempted to reverse a bit. Instead I expect I'll have to unplug the hour meter for an amount of time equal to the difference, then plug it back in. I'm tempted to wire in an on/off switch.
