I am. It'll be the last big LED swap I have left.

OK, now you guys have grabbed my interest on at least changing the courtesy light over to LED. How hard was this? Suggestions on where to to get those LEDs that you used specifically?

Oh, and Mike we are running out of time to grab that beer. Before too long, any beer I consume will be in Hickory County, MO on or near my boat. :D

Yeah - and Mike - where's the thread with pictures that step-by-steps you through changing all the lights on your dash to LED. That's what I want!

Paul - let's do it!

Cougar - Well, if you're suffering from insomnia the whole thread is here. The net of it is that http://www.superbrightleds.com has direct automotive replacements for 194 type bulbs, which is what's used in your helm (unless that's changed since '05, which I doubt). They have several different kinds of 194 replacements, but I found that the one that fits the holes, has the right brightness, etc., is their model WLED-x (where x is the color - R for red, B for blue, etc.). They're a couple of bucks each and you can do your whole helm with about 6 of them (remember that one of your gauges has two in it). Also, the WLED-x's are dimmable, so if you ever decide to add a dimmer to your helm (something I haven't ruled out but haven't seen as much need since I did the LED's), you're good to go.

Guess I was under the false impression that, like trailer light conversion, these bulbs would require receptacle replacement. Heck, if they're that easy I may redo all of my instrument panel and the courtesy lights as well.

As far as the trailer lights, I can post the source & part numbers for all of mine if anyone wants it. I can't be certain that they're all the same as on the current trailers, but I'd be willing to bet that they are. I did quite a bit of research to find the fixtures that would fit the existing mounting holes so no new holes would have to be drilled and the housings would be the same size.

Walt - I can't wait to see those all lit up.

Something to think about - for other people who might be interested.... Maybe Walt could organize a "group buy" on these things since he has the contact for getting them?

Walt - where are you planning to put the rope lighting? And are you going to switch out the stock ctsy light bulbs with LEDs as well?

I actually saw them at the Harris display at the sports show this year. My sis and her hub bought a Harris about the time I got my 210SS. We liked the lights, so they are planning on getting a set for thier tooner (13 holders!!!!). I had already made arrangements for this dealer (Sportsman's Outfitters in Lee's Summit, Mo) to work on my decals and dash pad, so they got a few cupholders, and made sure they fit in all six of mine. I ordered the set, and picked them up with a few other odds and ends when I got my boat back last week.

I say the best bet is just talk to a Harris Dealer, or order direct through Harris. It shouldn't be long before other manufacturers and after market retailers are jumping on the band wagon. I paid $31 ea. not too bad with only 6. More than that, and uhh...

The rope lights are not LED's. Just white, low brightness 12V. I plan on running them along the inside gunnals where most of the small storage is or maybe along the floor board, and wire to the ctsy lights. I like to keep the Ctsy lights a soft white, and the Nav's night colors. As far as replacing everything with LED's... I'll just do that as they start burning out. I'm running dual batt's, so power won't be a problem.

I just mounted my spare tire and license plate today, tommorrow I'm putting on the reg numbers. Gawd I love this weather!!!
