A swim platform is on the list :).

I had the mechanic at the marina check the gauges and senders and he confirmed the gauges are bad but the senders are ok. I was having him take a look at the boat in genearal to see if there were any other issues. He did find that the thermostat was stuck open- so that's fixed now. It is much easier to start now - I didn't realize it was bad before.

I am starting to search for replacement gauges, but I don't see exact replacements online anywhere. I am going to call my local dealer tomorrow to see how much the replacements are.

Thanks for your help!

Take a look at the Faria site:

A thermostat that does not open will not let the engine warm up to normal temp (160-175 for late models). It should not affect cold starting at all though. Usually there is a bit of sand or other debris that gets under the seat and keeps it from closing. They usually don't stick wide open but they just don't close all the way. Then you might only see 100-120* on the gauge at idle and low speeds, on plane it will probably come up to 160 but then drop back down to the lower temp when you slow down. I have had this as a chronic problem in salt water and they last about 1-2 seasons then start sticking. If take it out and then put it in a pot of water suspended with a piece of coat hanger wire and then boil the water, the debris can be flushed out. If it closes all the way and opens all the way you can re-use it. When I repower this boat I am going with closed cooling and will not have to deal with this issue any longer....it is common on raw water cooled engines.
