Power Steering leak - 5.0 Gxi

Anyone else having issues losing power steering fluid? The shop can't find a leak, but last time out we started having jerking in the steering actuator and when I checked the reservoir, it was well below the "fill" mark. We had a leak in the past with the hose at the bottom of the reservoir but that was fixed at the end of our first season. Total hours on the boat = 49.0.

The shop pulled the power steering cooler and pressure tested it with no problems.

Feel around the causal steering hydraulic ram. They are known to leak there.

Me too....I had oil all on the metal line that's plugged at the pump.....i plugged it for real with manclamps and pressure hose......now need to closely look at actuator...hard for me to reach.

my ram took a dump last year, i just bypassed having power steering since then. I miss it though.

Check around the ram, check the rubber hoses, check the pump, etc. The pump is dirt cheap ($40) so hopefully it's just that.
