I've recently purchased an 06' Four Winns Horizon 260 and have noticed that when the boat is sitting in the water it appears to be leaning slightly to the right side. Has anyone encountered this? Could it be due to my having filled the water tank which is on the right side of the boat? I have to balance the boat by placing more weight on the left side.

That's cause the battery and water tank is on the right side. Makes no difference. If you're really OCD and it drives you nuts add in a big 2nd battery to the port side.

I was just kidding. Your boat is probably sinking might wanna have it checked out.

My 245 Sndowner lists to the starboard side: I put it down to the batteries being on that side. It hasn't sunk (Yet, "touch wood" !)

My '96 lists slightly to the PORT side. My battery and built in cooler (always full 8) ) is on port, plus I have my battery pack and the fill in cushions, table, and tool kit stored port side too. with people onbaord it usually evens out tho...

My 05 lists to starboard also. This subject had been discussed previously and it seems to be a common problem, and the consensus is that it is due to the dual batts on the starboard side. Some have solved the issue by mOving one or both batts to port or middle. I have no water in the water tank. The listing annoys me to no end. I may have to have someone move my batteries. There are just so many wires and there is little slack, so new connections would be needed, what a PITA.

 Now I know why my 2012 H210 does the same thing!!! I feel so much better!! The last few times out, I was looking at my wake thinking something could be wrong and always barking at everyone to sit on the other side of the boat!!! Never even thought about the dual batteries!!!!

I had the same problem with my 2005 250. I had both batteries moved to port and the boat sits perfect. It was expensive but well worth it. I had quit a few reponses to my post in June of 2011 "boat lists to right. We have had our boat 2 years and we really enjoy it.

My 2006 Sundowner 255 also lists a little to the starboard. I have two group 27 batteries on that side and the 12 gallon water tank on the port side. Even when the water tank is full there is a slight list that can be noticed when viewing the stern from the water. But the list is only about an inch or so when comparing the two sides of the boat.

My Vista lists to starboard a little as well. It annoys the crap outta me. In my case it's just the layout of the boat. Both sinks, head, fridge and aft seating are on the starboard side. It's my holding tank that is more further to starboard than anything. If I get her pumped out, she sits level. Rent 35 gallons of beer and she lists :x
