Your right!! I am sorry.

But I am very happy with my 700.

In looking for speakers, I like to look at the frequency responce, power handeling and reviews. But thats me.

Ahh - gotcha, Paul. The Kenwood I have does actually have dual-zone capability, but even in the Vista, I don't see myself ever using it. It's advanced enough that I can actually say, listen to the DVD that's playing in the head unit in the cabin (front speakers) and streaming bluetooth audio in the cockpit (rear speakers).
Yep - if I had to have a totally waterproof unit, I might would look and listen to the Fusion for that reason alone; I've only read second-hand information about the sound quality though. That being said, as long as the unit is flat from 20Hz to 20KHz that's all most humans ever have the ability to hear anyway. The thing that sets most head units apart in sound quality is decent equalizer controls, of which evidently the Fusion does not have.
Just look closely at where it will be installed; every boat I've owned has had a place that is out of direct contact with rain, such that the splash-proof marine radio cover works fine using just an automotive unit behind it.

My past 3 boats it was installed in the cabin, so it really was not a problem. As to the equalizer, it only has bass, mid, treble & sub-woofer. Remember too, that if you use a very good speaker the equalizer will not have to be adjusted too much. In order to make up the deficiencies in that speaker.

The remotes on the Fusion can be daisy chained or used on a NMEA2k network. No home runs back to the head.

That's what I like about the Kenwood as well; put as many remotes on it as you want, and string them together in series. One wire to the remote data, one wire to the ground, and one wire for +12V. Continue those 3 wires to the next remote. Of course, it's not a fancy remote that has a display, but then again I don't know that I need to know what song is playing by any other means than listening to it :)
There are plenty of radios that have only bass, mid, and treble. Several more that have only bass and treble. I find the 3-band EQ more than adequate on most units I've heard, so I imagine it's not as bad as might be indicated.

What can I tell you? The Fusion remotes do have a display that shows any thing the head can display. But if connected to a NMEA2k network, it can display (which I like) depth, speed & .......... At anchor, I know my depth from the remote on the platform. Here in Boston we have 12 to 13 foot tides. So it helps.

Ask me a question and I will give you an honest answer.

So, Ric - your watch lets you tune to different radio stations from your wrist? What if you're in the water and your 15 year old girlfriend is in the boat, sitting at the cockpit table, and wants to turn it down because her mommy called to check up on her?

You should try treating women with respect, you might actually become friends with some.

Nice burn.

But back to the question: What can be controlled from your Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch?

I too have a Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch that I wear every day. It links to my Galaxy 5 phone via Bluetooth and you can do almost anything from it.
I do know that you can use it as a remote control for almost any TV.......not sure about a stereo sound system......maybe????

Ric.......??????

Cheers, Craig
