Holy crap...it doesn't matter how much of the boat comes apart to access those engines. They're so close you can't access the mid drain plugs or spark plugs for routine maintenance.

dear lord i thought my engine was a bitch and i can sit in the engine room. Yes i call it a room. I feel if i can fit in it, it is a room. I am 6'2". it looks like maybe 2" between manifolds if that.. dear lord.

these motors look easier to work on than that Chap.. at least i can pull these engines or lay on top of them if need be.

The two Four Winns Horizons I've seen (mine and a friend's) seem to have logical panelage to remove with medium effort to access the powertrain. Hopefully that commitment to good engineering hasn't been abandoned in a boat costing 40x as much...

Yep, and so is the price. Trying to get a piece of the pie that Sea Ray has with the
350 SLX

As well as Formula 350CBR and Chaparral 357SSX

FW should sell 7 or 8 easily over the next 4-8 years.

Modern, mainstream, boats are all so similar it is painful and all of them are so full of compromises to try and satisfy every want.

Maybe I don't understand the current upper middle class buyers, but there is an awful lot of money spent on boats that are just too overstuffed and overpriced.

I guess I'm a believer in the buy the right tool for the job mantra. If that means multiple tools, have multiple boats.

31' cruiser for overnight stays? Check
18' OB sport boat for fun? Check
12' v-bottom alum for whatever? Check
13' canoe? Check

I just bought a 32' sailboat also....but that one isn't intended to be a long term member of the fleet. And I also still have an 18' cuddy somewhere in pieces....someday to return completely modified/customized to serve as an economical long term cruiser for 2.

My purchase price investment in the above boats is less than the 15% downpayment for the H350.

I currently own 4 boats.

22ft Cuddy Cabin for weekend fun with friends? Check
18ft sailboat for my fun? Check
Jet ski for excitement? Check
John boat for fishing? Check

I'm quite positive this winter I'll be selling my Chap for a 2001+ 248 Vista. I passed up on a beautiful 2003 a few months ago for 21k at my marina. Should have traded for it.

I currently own 1 boat.

H180 for weekend fun with friends? Check
H180 for my fun? Check
H180 for excitement? Check
H180 for fishing? Check
H180 for doing just about anything else? Check.

If I had that many individual boats, storage would cost more than my house payment.

To each their own.

I loved my H180 but the lack of having a cabin of any type was a buzz kill for me. I live in Florida, you need some kind of shelter on your boat. In a 15 minute period it can go from sunny to severe thunderstorm without warning.
