Wow, I thought I wanted the filler cushion but now I am really on the fence about it.

Bought our 200 Horizon new with the fill in cushions in 1999 and use them everytime we go out. We stuff the bow and cockpit cover under them while were on the lake. The kids love to hangout up there.

We keep ours in all the time and the kids love it. Last year, my 4 year old used the area underneath to take naps. She loved "her little space". The space may not be big enough for her this year.

Ordered mine with the boat. It's two cushions to fill the area on my '07 200. They both fit in one of the bow storage lockers, and are always kept on the boat. When we're on the hook, my wife really likes the bow 'filled in' for catching some sun, especially when I have the cockpit bimini up for the kids.

use ours 99% of the time, everyone likes them while up front including myself. store stuff under them while they are in as well. haven't ever really used the boat without them. we have a 19' tho so i think it helps with room in the front.

haven't ever looked to see if they fit in the storage up front on our 19'r.

I use mine nearly all the time. They don't blow out if nobody is sitting up front without a 30 MPH wind or something. They store nicely in the helm storage compartment on the port side. If I recall correctly, though, not all Horizons have the helm compartments. Is that correct on the shorter models?

We have them. I have never seen a boat in Australia without them...nor have I ever used them or seen them being used on any other boat.
BUT,
our cat loves sleeping on them in the shed!

I had mine thrown in free as part of the purchase deal. They ordered them from the factory and the cushion supports do not fit well at all. 1/2 to 1 inch too wide in one area. Should I attempt to router this to fit or should I have Four Winns try again? I suspect if your boat comes from the factory with them they trim to fit each particular boat.

How well do your supports fit? On the 260 it consists of two "Starboard" bases with 2 cushions to lay on top.

We leave the bow filler in almost all the time - (I only remove it to put the bow cover on and have a place of the pole -- then it sits on one of the seats)

The stern fillers are stored on the floor in the space right behind the passenger seat and in front of the seat with the cooler below it -- once we are underway these are often put into place on the stern.

We use them continually, especially since we often have about six people on the boat when we go out.

Well, yesterday I attacked the edges of the bases with my belt sander(an idea Cincy Aquaholic gave me). It worked like a charm. I used coarse paper to take off the material. I even angled the edges so that it was a bit narrower at bottom edge than the top this way it would fit better in the groove made for the bases. I rounded the edges a bit with my router and hand sanded any rough spots. I couldn't be more pleased with the way they fit. Unfortunately my wife had the camera for the last day of preschool so I don't have pictures to show you all. I urge you to take a look at how your bases fit. I know Cincy Aquaholic had some gel coat chip because his didn't fit as well as they could.

Now to attach some snaps or Velcro to keep the cushions in place while under way. Has any body else modified their cushions to keep them on the base? I would like to use snaps but I am afraid the material won't be strong enough to support them. My other option is Velcro but I doubt the adhesive would last very long on the fabric.
