It sounds killer. I haven't had the boat out of the garage yet, so I still don't know how it will be in completely free-air, but my garage is 1,000 sq/ft, and it pounds in there, so I'm thinking it will be pretty decent outside, too.

The treble and mids are very smooth and clean, and the bass is about what I was expecting. It's not sub-bass, but it is more than capable of playing all kinds of music without feeling like something is missing. The bass works well. I have big subs in my home theater, and I know what sub-bass is. These don't deliver that, but I don't watch movies with bombs going off in the boat either. The system sounds perfect for me, and our music tastes.

I set the highpass filter to about 60 Hz on the fronts which are 6.5", to protect them from low stuff they can't play anyway, and am running the 7.7" in the cockpit full range. They don't complain at all until the volume is getting ridiculous, and even then, they remain fairly composed.

I'm happy with it. It was well worth the money.

Wow. Thats trick, Even with the backspacing headache and having to resort to spacers thats a really clean install. The spacers look factory in the pics.
I see you went with some security screws for a little peace of mind also 8)
After all, for a couple of of bucks they don't have to be hard to steal - only harder to steal than the boat moored next to you :D
I only have one gripe though - your pics (they are good ones also by the way) should be posted in a nice new thread with details (your custom spacer dimensions and relevant speaker dimensions) for a speaker upgrades in an H200. This will help out the next guy and he will be able to track you down since you are now the H200 speaker guy
Nice Work, Congrats!

Thanks Blessed. I really appreciate your help through this whole thing. I agree on the screws. And, unless they are prepared to cause severe damage to the boat, or they have a very serious tool collection with them, they aren't getting those speakers or amp. Thanks again for that idea.

OK, I'll do a post like the one you did, and give dimensions and spacer thicknesses, etc. Watch for it on the Horizon board.
