i have an OEM tower for my H190ss. the tower is aluminum and it seems very solid. The welds are also very good. The way the tower looks on the boat is also nice since it's designed for it. The arch matches the contours of the boat and windsheild. The only downside to the tower is the bimini that stores on top of the tower. I've had it rip off on the highway because the zipper faces the bow and catches the wind. I'm on my second bimini and i started bungeeing the canvas to help it stay in place while i'm on the highway.

+1 on the bungees. I also bungee mine on each zipper to help prevent them from opening up.

I love the S.S. arch on my 220. The top a pain to put up but, it is large. they are strong and anchored well to the boat. You just need to watch the mount gasket as they like to deform with use. Never had a height issue except in my sub-division with the decorative trees planted next to the road.

I have the reverese arch tower also - it's a solid built unit and not made to lower....you can remove the attachment bolts and pivot it over, but not really designed to be broke down. The trade off is you have a very solid tower and no movement like the break-over designs. Just depends on your use of it and storage access is all.

The tower for me was a must - we wakeboard/ski/kneeboard all the time and it's really nice. Plus frees up a lot of room and cuts down on work getting equipment with the use of the storage racks. The reverse arch frees up your view while at helm also - no bars to look around. The trade off is teh lack of bolt on access for mirror.

It does make the boat tall on the trailer, but don't think it's 11' On mine anyway, but its a 210 and not the 220. It wouldn't fit in my barn so that cost 85 a month for dry storage inside. In the plans to build a storage unit at the house, but need some lotto money first:) If you are serious about watersports the tower is a must- really makes the pull ups easy and also rope management a sinch.

another drawback is the pain in opening the bimini - it has to be lowered (all 4 post) then opened - then all 4 post extended again. I also never heard of anyone towing with tower down? I did not realize the Stainless reverse SS arch was that pricey though????
