TX- Just did the impeller replacement on the exact same engine in my '08 200SS. I definitely would not consider myself mechanically inclined, but I did not think it was too difficult. Probably took me about 2 hours... but at least 30 minutes were spent trying to use a stubby screwdriver to remove the four mounting bolts... before I realized that these screws were actually small bolts easily removed w/ a crescent wrench

At least on my '08 there is an engine "hatch" behind the back cushion of the bench that is removed w/ two small bolts, I would definitely recommend removing this as it makes the job MUCH easier. I also found that it was more comfortable to lay on the sunpad w/ my head in the engine compartment through the "hatch" than it was to sit on the rear bench, not sure if that will be the same for you. In general...
1) Remove engine accessibility "hatch"
2) Remove supply and return water hoses from impeller pump
3) Remove two mounting bolts from bracket
4) make a mark of some sort between the front of the impeller housing and the rear... this will help a lot to make reinstalling the impeller a simpler process as the four bolts are not spaced evenly
5) Remove the four bolts from the impeller housing, one is in between the supply and return hoses...
6) Remove the impeller housing
7) Remove old impeller from housing w/ needle nose pliers.
8 ) Make sure all old remnants of impeller and O-ring are cleaned out
9) Reinstall new impeller into housing, I found that coating the impeller w/ the supplied glycerin prior to putting it back together made things much easier
10) Put new O-ring into housing body
11) Put impeller housing back together using four bolts
12) Reattach bracket and hoses (make sure to put the right ones in the right places!)
13) Say a small prayer that you did it correctly
14) Fire her up and watch for leaks
Hope this helps... anyone else that has done this before have any other helpful tidbits?
Matt
