Eh, I had no use for it, just adds weight and wind resistance and I thought it looked too big for the boat, plus I keep the boat in my garage and it will be so much easier to not have to mess with putting it up and down every time it gets pulled in and out of there...

The boat looks very good especially for its age. The new seating makes a big difference. The main thing with boat seating is to keep the sun off of it and keep the moisture from building up under the cover so they do not get mildew. I replaced all the seating in my 88 Horizon 200 over a few years, except for the side panels and the sun pad which was already done. I had an upholstery guy make the front cushions and I replaced the helm seats and rear bench myself. I found that pontoon seating fit well and matched the OE colors perfectly. The rear bench is now in 2 halves, each 36 in wide, and I redesigned the rear bulkhead behind the seats so it opens like a door after removing the seat on one side. I can used take apart hinges so I can remove just one side to get in there and its much easier than lifting that heavy bulkhead.

Yeah, I would have kept the tower and thrown that baby up on ebay.
