Water shouldn't be in a boat. Fresh water/ humidity in the engine compartment of a FW boat in Florida at 95+ deg.F ? The corrosion of connectors in the engine compartment of FW boats is bad enough here in the UK with 60 deg.F ( if we are lucky) 50 deg. F here now and lashing it down with rain with a northerly wind; it was warmer in February !

I used my stock covers when I docked my boat 2 years ago. They worked well. I had no seepage but I also treated mine.

I don't have the OE covers for my boat, but I did have a bow and cockpit cover made by a local guy about 9 years ago from Sunbrella, as long as you treat them they keep out most of the water when it's on the mooring, and they breath well enough that I have not had a mold problem. I got rid of the carpet when I redid the deck about 5 years ago. No carpet for me, a mold and rot factory. Non skid gelcoat.
