I stuffed some foam in mine...took a lot more than I had imagined. Only bad thing is that the alarm is potentially important for other conditions (like engine over temp) which may be important to hear while running at speed. I just couldn't stand the piercing sound and seeing everyone within 100 feet have that startled look when I turned the key.
