Still waiting for the summer to arrive in Melbourne - may be a while :( Everything checked and double checked on the boat, boat cleaned, covers washed and re-waterproofed, trailer brakes all bled and checked, safety gear updated, etc.

Now all I can do is go to the garage and sit in it and make Brrrm Brrrm noises...

Check this out if you have 10 minutes or so,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICDNjU8UC6M

It is some video footage of our day out, a friend of mine knocked it up.

i have to say Ardy WOW is certainly what we thought, and yes although i really enjoy my visits to Melbourne, it would be a big ask to leave this place...

I hope you enjoy the movie,

Makes my driveway a bit mundane by comparison.

Seriously, that's incredible video - well done! I can't even imagine being that close to whales.

i think i posted this elsewhere, but its applicable here.

trailer brakes : titan brakes in qld stock everything you need to overhaul your FW trailer brakes, at about a quarter of the FW dealers prices...
pads, seals, calipers, etc all readily available, and they were a great help to me...

summer is coming !

WoooHoo... got out the first time this season... on Port Phillip Bay yesterday (Sunday). Weather was PERFECT... 20C (70F), winds around 1-2 knots, waves less than 6 inches. Had a great day out (a little pink from the sun). The boat ramp was a bit of a zoo at 2pm when I decided to come in (seems like everyone else was either going out or coming in at the same time).

Only problem I had for the day was the shifter jammed - couldn't go into forward or reverse - luckily found this in pre-launch check. WD40 the rear of the shifter and cables, manipulated backwards and forwards, used lots of colourful 4 letter words, then the problem was fixed. Plan to look at this more closely during the week - seems to be a common thing with the Volvo shifter...

Anyway, summer is here for us in Melbourne!!
