Good idea, how tight will that be on a 200? (his is a 180 )

Aw crap, I thought you had a 180 also. Guess I should have went back to your original "howdy, new to the forum" post. It would fit width wise, but be 2 feet short lengthwise.

Once you get it all dried out buy a good mooring cover and make sure you treat it every year to make it waterproof. Those bow/cockpit cover to not keep water out worth a darn.

+1 I have a blue tarp on top of mine with the covers on. I don't want the sun to dull my paint

Problem with a tarp, is that it does not let moisture pass thru, and can cause mildew on the underside of th bow and cockpit covers. A custom fit Sunbrella cover would protect the gel coat and allow the boat to breathe. It costs a lot but if you are keeping the boat it is a good investment.
I tried the tarp on top of the covers one fall and had a lot of moisture underneath, when it gets cool here you get condensation. Now I leave the bow and cockpit covers on till it gets cold out and then put on the winter canvas cover, that I built a frame for and spray it with water proofing spray. This keeps all the water out and the boat stays dry inside with just a couple of the moisture absorber buckets. I do open it up on dry breezy days to let it air out.

If you have even gone camping you know about using seam sealer on tent seams, well you can do the same thing on those covers and it helps a lot. Some boats have the slits to allow the bimini top bows to stick through the cover and I bet that lets most of the water in, as does the joint between the bow and cockpit covers. On my boat when I installed the bimini, I did it so it would fit inside the gunnels and can be folded down inside so the bows are all inside the cover. The cockpit cover overlaps the bow cover so no water comes in there. The one area where I get water in is the seam that goes down the middle of the cockpit cover, that I seal up with seam sealer from the inside and that helps.
