Hey Mark,

Good to see some projects are getting smashed out, prior to winter!
Where abouts in Melbourne are you?
Myself & a couple of mates are always keen to hit the water over winter for a board, so if you need fuel money & some crew, hit me up!

The 4.3 MPI is an economical engine, especially at cruising speed.
Wise choice to change the prop. One of the first things that I did on my H220 was change the 3 blade 19P prop to a 19P high five. Heaps better out of the hole and lower planing speeds.

PM me if you need anything for your newy as I know a Four Winns guru in Chelsea Heights.

Don't forget to post some pics.

Cheers, Craig

Thanks Craig, will do. As with most boats it is a bottomless pit of money, so advice and information is always valuable!

Ps Prop info would be appreciated. It seems you are happy with the Hi Five 19P, where did you get it and what did you pay for it? PM me if you got "Mates Rates".

Hi Mark, went with the High 5 prop under advice from Brett & one of his mechanics at BJ's Marine. Extremely happy with the difference.
I paid $1,000.00 for it, which is probably full price. Given that I was spending over $6K with them anyway, another $1K was a squire in the ocean.

May catch up on the bay when the weather picks up.

Cheers, Craig

Full price is $600 USD after tax for a High-5. They can be had used in flawless condition on eBay for $350.

Yea I have seen that Ric, but sadly the freight costs to Australia are rather obscene!! Once I have factored in the US$600 price, then the US$150-$200 freight, plus insurance, adjusted for the exchange rate I am close to the AU$1000 mark.... I am going to look more closely once I have the cash!

I have asked a few private USA E bay advertisers if they will post to Aus, and none have agreed yet. Not enough incentive when your market over there snaps them up easily enough and I understand that.

It's just the price we pay for living in the Lucky Country!!

I did look at the ebay option as well Mark. As you mentioned, the postage costs, money exchange etc, made it quite expensive.
I am also comfortable knowing that I have the right prop for my boat, and the backup from Brett.

Cheers, Craig
