The watch controls the phone. Volume, track, pause, repeat, etc. So if you're like me and you stream audio over bluetooth to your boat's stereo, you have full control over your music as long as your watch is in range to the phone, which can be 50ft or so. I mount my phone to the windshield so it's nice and high.

You also have the added benefit of seeing whos calling, answering the call, read and reply to email and text, etc.

So, Ric - your watch lets you tune to different radio stations from your wrist? What if you're in the water and your 15 year old girlfriend is in the boat, sitting at the cockpit table, and wants to turn it down because her mommy called to check up on her?

You should try treating women with respect, you might actually become friends with some.

Just going by some of the pictures you post. We only know about you by what you portray yourself as being, chief.

I'm thinking more likely the older man not being mature enough for a similar-aged woman. That's what I usually see around here, anyway. Last woman I dated that was >3 years younger than me was proof positive in my eyes. I think all she saw was the boat. Told her quick-like, "buh bye!" Some guys get off on that I guess? Maybe that's more "normal" in Florida?

Anyway, I see the question remains unanswered, so I'll assume that's a big "no", and hence makes such a gadget all but useless, if not extremely limited at best.

Ahh - moral of the story: read on. As I figured, it's good only if one wants limited control functions of audio controls that are only present on one's phone. Not a real remote control that is hooked to the stereo.

What more do you want while relaxing? Volume up/down, and song selection.

Who wears a watch today? If I am out on the boat, am not answering the phone! Really!!

I meet up with a bunch of friends on the water with other boats/skis. Kinda hard to do without a phone.

Changing the radio station, actually tuning the stereo volume up & down, changing CD/MP3 disc tracks, and being as far away from a phone as possible. All are doable with the wired remotes at the helm and the swim platform. Plus, no silly tan line screaming "NERD!"

Several of you guys are sounding like teenage girls here with your petulant comments....The OP was asking for info, not a juvenile pissing-contest.
We're talking about music on a boat - get a grip, people.

I'm pretty sure his question was answered with several different opinions.
As I've often stated to people who yell at the television, "If you don't like the station, change the channel".

He's right, we have to stop picking on Ric. We do sound like a bunch of girls, but he brings onto himself. And the we can't help it!!

VHF doesn't work. We got boats with 9ft whips that can barely get 1/4mi due to the winding river and trees

you need to get some better bases that actualy have some output power.. you can have a 50' antenna and not get signal if you have no power to the antenna.. you need good output power.. what are you working with..
