re using waterproof grease, the potential for corrosion is not so much between the outdrive and tilt housing surfaces, both being made in all likelihood out of the same Al alloy, but rather is between the 6 stainless studs and the corresponding bores in the outdrive. VP recommend completely covering the studs with their non-setting white sealant. If unavailable, it's those studs and bores that need liberally coating with marine grease.
