Well we received the new outdrive yesterday. My wife took it to the marina since i was driving back from Texas. I called the marina this morning and picked the boat up at 1000. Nothing else to add to the dilema except the marina charged me $318.00 for everything which I thought was reasonable. That's after the $4200.00 I paid for the new outdrive from Doug Russell. It's the newer style Outdrive so I feel like I got something for my money LOL.

We would have gone out on the water today but bad weather is moving over us once again but we will go sometime this week.

I guess the lesson learned for me is don't call the insurance company unless (until) there is physical damage. I think there was enough in question whether or not I hit something that they could have at least paid half. I may still argue with them about their decision or just chalk it up to a lesson learned and enjoy the summer. I must say I am really glad just to have it home now!!!

Thanks for everyone's support and advice!!!!! Ben

P.S. I traded my core to the mechanic for a complete winterization and oil change service this fall.

Sounds like a pretty good deal all the way around to me. Although the whole situation sux, with used boat prices where they are now you're probably still dollars WAY ahead and with a brand-new drive to boot. Did he completely remove the original trim pump?

Mike,

Nothing was done with the trim pump.

Yesterday we took the boat out all day and it ran very smooth at all speeds. Everything just felt right! We had a great day tubing, knee boarding, and wakeboarding. For a long time we were the only ones on the lake that weren't fishing. We even got back under our own power and that felt good after the last day out.

Now just waiting on more nice weather!!!!

Ben
