I have towed mine on the short legs with the cover zipped around the top. It tends to wiggle and sway and I stopped doing it for fear of it pulling the base connectors out of the fiberglass. Not sure (going to look) mine hits the fiberglass. I know the rolled up top rests on the vinyl top of the engine cover.
