I love my SS great investment and a very solid boat and yes it looks good too. Dont have the room or the wallet for a cruiser, plus it ony 3 of us. SS all the way, cruisers are for old farts.

Boat purchasing is an art - being able to understand your needs/wants and match it to the purchase is the only way to save money in the long run. Of course your needs may change, which is expensive. Personally, i am a SS boater cuz it fits what we use it for....if the water is too rough we are not out there trying to board or anchor/swim anyway. We are day lakers if you will - of course we go out for the day sometimes 1 to 2 weeks at a time.

My prior boat was a Bayliner 2050 SS and it served us well for 10 years and was 5 years old at time of purchase. My current boat will last me a long time hopefully....the FW is heavier with higher free-board than my old boat - it handles well, but not as responsive as the Bayliner which is to be expected with the extra size weight.

For cruiser owner's = they typically frequent larger lakes than we do....not much cruising when you can be from end to end of the lake in 10 to 15 minutes. Bigger water needs bigger boats.
