well the sample of the diamonds material came in at lunch and for the little added money and time saved i have decided to use this instead of sewing all the lines to make the diamonds myself.

Well the rain and more rain has delayed the painting of the cockit, and in that time i changed my mind about the rear speakers and decided to make new side pocket angled mounts. So i made some foam templates and then built some boxes to house the speakers and glassed them into the side ski storage shelves. They will be at the rear bench sides about hip location and exposed under the side panels (removed in the photos). I left the top space large enough to still easily snake wires and stuff like my arm, this also will act as an air inlet duct for the engine room. I could not bring myself to cut holes in the face of my nice new dry storage bench seat for speakers to blast in peoples ankles.

i have had these for 2 years and love them. I have recommended them to a number of people. I wish they would make a WHITE series. They truly are a rock solid speaker. I have had thoughts about adding 2 more under the dashes so i have 6. BUT the 4 will BLAST plenty to the point that you do not want to listen to them on BLAST mode or ears will hurt.

she is cleaned, Masked, and ready for a final scotch brite scuff, vacuum, and a tack cloth wipe before shooting primer.

a sneak peak of the drainage tiles inside the ski locker. The same tiles will go in the floor of the storage bench seat and the floor of the storage in the engine compartment.

cheap blue tarp liner inside of the fitted boat cover to protect the cover form paint.

CUSTOM AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM ..... yes this is a house filter attached to a box fan on the intake side. It will suck the particles out of the cover and trap them in the filter.

Primer was a success. The custom air filtration system worked like a champ. I had 95% clear air the entire time.

So happy seeing the reward and milestone of one solid color on the floor. I did find as expected about 8 small spots that need some sand and a little filler tonight followed by touch up primer. This was basically expected to happen. But man i am happy to see her getting close.

Some shiny new bling bling for the interior came in the form of a box full of new polished stainless grab handles.
In addition a 50 yard roll of my cording arrived.

Are those grab handles a standard size? I wouldn't mind getting rid of my plastic ones but don't want to have to redress holes for it. If you wouldn't mind could you let me know where you got them?

Yes they are a standard handle size with a 7.125" bolt spacing.

Well tonight was not perfect by any means. For starters today it was approaching 100* so I did not even approach the boat to start working until 930 pm. I did bad math and mixed too little paint 2x uhh what a production kill and look their adds 5minutes. Well besides the 3-4 pieces of trash in the paint, fortunately they are in the areas where nonskid is going so I am not worried about them at all. The white laid down nicely.

tape and non skid tonight. while paint is in the gun i will toss a finish coat on the bench seat. And measure the side panels as i think i am going to bang them out this weekend before i reinstall. She is getting very close to rapidly visually changing.
