I was looking to purchase a manual for my engine and noticed that it is actually an OMC Cobra...but says "manufactured by Volvo Penta Marine Products." I found a very school portion of the Volvo Penta website where you can lookup your engine, but I cannot find mine in their database. Any suggestions where to find a manual? Below is the details

Model No. 432APNCA

Volvo Penta Engine database: http://www.volvopenta.com/volvopenta/na ... gines.aspx

That is about the time where OMC was on its way out...very little difference between the OMC and VP for a few years. Clymer manual number is B771-2, 1994-2000 Volvo Penta Stern Drives.

Your boat is the coventure years of Volvo and OMC before OMC disappeared off into the sunset. Your drive is a volvo SX-m drive while your motor technically is OMC since it is painted dark gray instead of red. If you go to a Volvo dealer your model number to them is a 4.3GLPNCA. Being a dealer for the old OMC, Johnson, Evinrude line we use the OMC software to look up your parts but can do it in either program. The seloc manuals are a great book.

Volvo Penta didn't go red until late 2000. My 2000 H180 was made early in 2000 and the engine was still blackish.

My last boat had a VP AQ 225 E of 1986 vintage,,,

It was red!

Our 2000 268 Vista had a Volvo that was manufactured in April of 1999, and it had a red 5.7L engine when it was delivered.

From the Volvo-Penta website:
http://www.volvopenta.com/volvopenta/global/en-gb/marine_leisure_engines/parts_service/faq/Pages/faq_model_name.aspx

Charcoal was from '93 to 2000. Of course there is always the question of does that mean model year or year of production so I usually take any of that info as a guideline and don't get too specific. 8)

Thanks for the information. I found the Volvo Penta website and stumbled upon the 4..3GLPNCA which I gathered was my model.
