I have a '93 Four Winns Horizon that is leaking. I can hear water trickling in by the outdrive. Seems to be getting worse. Bilge is running every 10 min or so. Anyone know if bolts can be tightened or if a gasket can be replaced in this area? Thanks Ryan |

Yes the bolts can be tightened. I have had to do it before and there are others on this forum that have done it as well. If it is the SX drive there are four nuts two on the starboard and two on the port. Two of the nuts are about midway from the top of the transom mount which you should be able to use a socket and ratchet 5/8". The other two are hidden behind the exhaust Y-pipe near the bottom you will have to feel around to find them. Good luck and happy hunting. To replace the transom gasket will require drive and engine removal. After you tighten the nuts install your bilge plug and fill the bilge with water to make sure you fixed it. |

Have you looked at the Bellows for holes? |

I would be checking the bellows for holes before anything else. |
