Hey guys, I am looking to buy a 2005 Horizon 180 with a 225HP Volvo 4.3 engine, and extended swim platform with sport bucket seats. Is there anything I should know about for Horizons of this year regarding reliability or maintenance issues in particular? Plan on using the boat for cruising around a small lake, tubing and water skiing. Trying to figure out if the transom is wood or fibre glass, and how much this really matters at the end of the day as well? Thanks! |

All in all that's a pretty good package. If the boat's had a tough life, you could be buying a can of worms. Best thing is to pay to have a survey and mechanical inspection including an oil analysis done. That way, you KNOW what you're getting into. John
