My current trailer is rotted broken and dead, although it will suffice to get it out of the water this year I don't take it more than 2 miles at a time.

This trailer is the closest I have come to anything decent on C-list in my area and is priced right, but its for a smaller 4 winns (mine is a 20 ft Horizon H200)

I'm not worried about the lack of brakes so much as overal capacity, this is the closest I have come to something that will work, I like the idea of it being a four winns galvanized, just wondering if its really really undersized or would work fine.

Not planning any long distance travel or anything, 20 miles max at this point to a nearby bigger lake occasionaly (like twice a year)

Will it fit on there? Not pretty but probably. Don't expect any insurance money when it breaks and damages your boat, your claim will be denied for using a trailer that isn't rated for your weight/size.

Keep searching, used trailers are cheap this time of year. A nice dual axle twin bunk trailer shouldn't be more then a grand. It doesn't have to be branded for a four winns. Boat trailer is a boat trailer as long as it's not for a pontoon/airboat/etc.

I would call a few Loadrite dealers for a galvanized one.

First off, you need the right trailer for the wught of your boat. Than the trailer needs to be adjust to that boat. This will balance the load and make sure all the rollers are supporting the boat!

Don't get cheep with the trailer. My dad did that years ago and spent a week under the boat in the spring fixing a crack in the bottom. Your boat will spend as much or more time on the trailer as in the water each year so get a good one.

For the 200 Horizon, the OE spec'd trailer was either a tandem or a single, but with a 5200 lb/6 lug axle, 15" rims. Most singles you will find will have a 3500 lb/5 lug axle, 14" rims. In fact that's what I have on mine, (upgraded the rims/tires to 15" for a bit more safety margin for the tires) but I don't trailer far (to the boatyard for bottom paint, less than a mile, to the ramp, maybe 1/8 mile). I have not had any problems with the bearings or hubs either (I have taken longer tows like to the 'glass shop for the paint job, but that was only about 20 miles). I measured the hub temps and they were fine, but I wouldn't advise you to buy a trailer with less capacity than what FW felt was needed. The 5200 lb 6 lug axle with 15" rims gives you a bigger safety margin for sure. I actually prefer a single because with my tight parking situation it's much easier to deal with. If I ever had to replace this trailer I'd get another single but with the 6 lug axle.

well, after about 2 years searching not very hard I stumbled on this trailer that is a direct replacement for my boat. 2003 galvanized with papers...Seemed too good to be true but it was a boat shop other side of the state just clearing out their yard. Compared to the other junk I looked at over the years this is well worth the $400 I spent, and about 145 percent better than the rusted out bent painted trailer it will replace. Figure I will do the bearings at a minimum and maybe the tires if we decide to take it to Lake George next summer but otherwise its a nice upgrade from what it replaces.

thanks..I'm just happy I can tow it with confidence now...just need a vehicle up to a longer tow and Ill be all set.

Awesome deal! Congrats! That will last a long time in FW. Definitely check out bearing, and to Lake George, it will be worth it (overkill, but worth it) to pick up an extra hub with bearings. That way you will be set no matter what, and able to keep on trucking.
