Hello  We're buying a new 2012 H200 that comes with the following options: Bimini Top Bucket Seats, Flip Up Bolsters Cockpit and Forward Cover 3D Chrome Graphics Just wondering whether additional options such as Bow scuff plate, docking lights, trim switch are good additions? Looking around for camper tops too.. can't seem to find any online? Any suggestions? Thanks again...Rzy

Bow scuff plate has saved me several gouges for sure...trim switch is standard and required..if your thinking trim guage then yes, get it. You can't see drive from inside boat and guage is very helpful...I don't boat at night and have never used docking lights. If i did motor at night I would want them. Waketowers are expensive but cheaper to get now than install later...not needed but nice to have. |

The trim gauge is standard. The extra trim switch on the stern is nice to have.In my opinion the best options to get on a new boat are a dual battery system and closed cooling. The dual batts give you more back up reliability and closed cooling gives much longer engine life, easier winterizing and better efficiency due to the fact that the engine runs closer to its designed temperature. The camper canvas should be available from the dealer. |

Opinions differ, but I wouldn't waste money on the docking lights...I do boat at night and have never found them to be of any value at all. Money better spent on a hand-held spotlight. |

I put LED solar lights on my dock. Red/Green on the entrance to my slip, white elsewhere around the dock and flashing yellow on random posts that stick up that you can't see at night. All problems solved for under $50. |

Dual batteries are very worthwhile, and I don't know how anyone gets along without a transom trim switch. Both of those can be added after purchase though, much easier than docking lights can be. You didn't say where you'll be boating, but if it's saltwater, I second Lou's recommendation for closed cooling. |

I have the dock lights... they look cool and are awesome for watching anything about 3 ft in front of the boat, such as fish and Bats! A hand-held spot light is still a necessity. I do NOT have a transom tilt switch, but instead did a wireless doohickie to my key FOB that will toggle the lights and/or bring up the drive. |

| Thank you all for your feedback!! 230 Mike - we are in canada and will be boating in one of the many lakes. From the feedback, I will most likely get an additional battery, and ask whether closed cooling is available (didn't see it in the Four Winns brochure for some reason) as an option. The extra trim switch will most likely take a back seat to the additional battery. In fact, maybe the bow scuff plate will take priority of the additional trim switch. Thanks again everyone...Rzy |

Personally on a bowrider? What would I get? Chart plotter Walk through doors Table magma grill Bimini top modified to accept camper canvas that is made by a local canvas shop. Canada has lots of bugs. Additional "convertible" top made to use the boat when the weather isn't ideal but you still wanna boat 2nd battery on switch, with isolator AND if you want to sacrifice a little bit of storage room... Marine heater. Operated by the engine's hot water. Canada is cold. A walk through door, convertible top, heater will keep you boating til the lakes ice over. It's sooo nice to be able to raise & lower the drive without having to climb into the boat, or even walk up the side. You can mount it wherever you want, as long as it won't get completely drenched. Typically just above the swim platform. Easy to reach from standing next to the platform, and easy to reach the wiring inside.

But when do you need to do that? Is it a maintenance thing ? I only raise and lower with putting in taking out. I just want to know what I am missing, because if it would make something really easier then I am all for it. Regardless, it Looks nice Mike. |

In a place like Canada the options of a heater/closed cooling make a lot of sense because it extends the season and makes winterizing easier. |

Congrats!  Hope you enjoy her as much as I am enjoying mine. The dual batteries should be standard in my opinion. Closed cooling if available would be my next pick, the bow scuff plate and lights were already on my 220 didn't know that they were options. Have a great season when it warms up.

It would make it easier to lower the drive without having to clamber in and out of the boat multiple times, to prep it to flush the system, or just to store the drive in the down position. Alternately, it would also make it easier to raise the drive prior to towing. I dont have a remote tilt switch yet, but I'm planning on it. |
