Has anybody purchased this and did it pay off? My boat is coming up on a year old and was thinking about it. It's kind of expensive and I'm not sure if it's worth the expense. Thanks! |

I got it and have yet to use it. But it could pay for itself QUICK. |

Didn't buy it, was given it by Volvo. Used it on a alternator that went bad. $25 co-pay vs. $300+ for the alternator. I'd say yes, it paid for itself. Need to remember that it's actually a FPC service contract and much is NOT covered. A lot depends upon what the mechanic finds and how he presents it to the FPC adjuster. If they hear the word corrosion that equal DENY. As to the purchase price of the coverage...it is a HUGE profit center for the dealer. He can deeply discount it to you and still make money. |

+1. I negotiated it as part of the boat purchase, after the price of the boat itself was agreed to. Paid $100 for the 2+4, the dealer paid the rest. Haven't had a claim yet, but I like knowing it's there. If I had to pay the full cost out of pocket, I'd have a hard time deciding. But TX said it best - it would take a split second to make it the best money you ever spent. |

We have it, it was part of the boat show deal.....I would have not bought the boat except for its 6 years of coverage. If i had to pay for it I also would not have bought the boat. |
