I'd noticed that the old school (late 90's) hulled FW Horizons seen to have a much higher deadrise than the newer hulls?! Is this to offer better stationary stability on the newer boats? ![]() Current Hull: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Old hull: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes on some models of the Horizon the dead rise was steeper on the old hulls. On my '88 it's 21* at the transom and the bow entry is also very sharp. The late 80s 200s had 2 lifting stakes on each side but in the early 90s they had three. These hulls were excellent rough water boats for their size. The newer designs may rock less at rest but the older ones ride better at speed. |
