Has anyone bought the iPod cable connector that FW offers? Looks like an adapter with RCA jacks on one end, and the mini-stereo connector on the other. The idea is you connect the RCA jacks into the Clarion CMD4 stereo.

Does anyone know if there is another similar part available and the costs?

Thanks

this will work as well for $25...

but it plugs directly from the radio to the ipod.

I have not looked yet, but is it easy enough to get to the back of the radio, or do you have to pull it out?

On my 190, it was as simple as looking under the dash where the radio is installed. There was already two female RCA style plugs with caps on coming out the back of the stereo. Just hook the cable directly to them. This is your AUX input when you select it in the stereo.

Just make sure your cable is long enough so you can store the ipod where you want it. I place mine in the side well by the passenger seat, it is easy to reach, out of the way, and the cable does not show coming from under the dash there.

clarion make a unit that connects where the cd stacker would connect. This enables you to control the ipod via the remote unit.

I got the factory installed Ipod connector which they mount next to the cupholder at the helm. They must run the connector under the floor because it is opposite side of the boat from the stereo, Sirius etc. One problem that I have had is that the sound only comes out of one side of the speakers but I think this is a connection issue that I will have the dealer look at during my 20 hour.

Belkin makes an Ipod adapter and sells them at Walmart for $5.
