I have never heard of different varieties of teak. Do you have enough room for the engine to tilt all the way up? It looks like it might just make it if you mount just below your rub rail? |

that is going to look great... for teak you are going ot want to sand the old and the new wood and re oil it to match them up and to seal them... |

The SX drive should be able to come up most of the way. On previous (large, salt water) boats, we've always left the teak un-treated. It ages with a nice, grey colour to it... p.s. Good to know that there aren't different types of teak! ![]() |
