Found this lightly damaged bad boy on Ebay, 2200 miles from home for next to nicks!
A mate was driving his semi-trailer back the next day & offered to deliver for a slab of beer. Winning! :D
I'll need to replace a teak board on the very back, due to the old owner backing his Malibu in to a pole & cracking it.
Another mate can weld marine grade stainless, so some supports & 'L' brackets should be easy...
Is there anything teak specific I should know before I try source some timber?
p.s. This should end up being around $500, installed. 8)

I have never heard of different varieties of teak.

Do you have enough room for the engine to tilt all the way up? It looks like it might just make it if you mount just below your rub rail?

that is going to look great... for teak you are going ot want to sand the old and the new wood and re oil it to match them up and to seal them...

The SX drive should be able to come up most of the way.
On previous (large, salt water) boats, we've always left the teak un-treated.
It ages with a nice, grey colour to it...
p.s. Good to know that there aren't different types of teak! :)

I'm chasing some help from someone who's fitted a swim platform or has 'swimplatform' branded instructions specific to this Horizon RS 180, please:

I'm aware that you should ideally use 316 grade bolts, washers & nyloc nuts for the 90 degree transom mount (the top).
The 2x support braces that go under the waterline, are they simply 'self tapped' in to the transom?
I have not measured yet, but thinking that bolts through the transom at that level might be a little optimistic... :?

This is how/what the instructions called for on the platforms on my h200 and my brothers maxum 1800

1 1/4" is the length?
