I have a 04 H230 and the ski locker is not draining. It appears that one of the plastic tips to the canvas support poles has found its way into the drain making water tight seal a couple of inches into drain. Does anyone know if this drain is connected to a hose? in which case I do not want to force it deeper Or if it just dumps into the bilge? |

If it is anything like my 99 180, it just has limber holes that run the water under the fuel tank into the bilge. The back of my ski locker has a tube molded into the fiberglass, I would see if you could get a long grabber screw inserted into the tube and see if you can grab the cap and pull it back into the locker. Just a thought, good luck. ![]() |

I have a similar problem. My locker drains, but very slowly. I have tried using an air compressor to force air through the hose to unblock. When I do so, it clearly drains more quickly for a couple of seconds, but then slows again. My understanding is that the fuel tank has settled on the drain hose and restricts the flow. Here is one of a couple of other threads on this site that I have read regarding the issue: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7584 Keep us posted. I'm curious to see how difficult the fix it. I don't really want to pull my tank. |

I was having this same problem on my 08 h220. I did have a thread on it here somewhere. I had tried all the things guys were saying to do except pull the fuel tank, didn't really want to go that route. So i took it to the dealer. They drilled an inspection hole just above the drain and found the problem to be as most say that the fuel tank was blocking the hose. They just pulled the hose off and now it drains fine, it drains just in front of the fuel tank and runs under it. I have a plastic tank so it works for me. I also now have a five inch inspection hole to keep an eye on things |

It sounds as if the hose they put in there got pinched by the tank, or maybe the tank shifted forward slightly, I don't think you need that hose because most boats have just a drain in the front bulkhead and one the rear, the water runs under the tank and then out the rear bulkhead drain in the bilge under the engine. |

Wondering if removing the base for the pedestal table would give enough access to remove the hose. That is a about 1.5 feet aft of the locker drain. I will give it a look later. I assume the base just screws into the deck. Not loving the idea of drilling a hole through the deck. |

The ski locker on my H180 wasn't draining either so we just took a regular plumbing snake and you wouldn't believe what stuff was clogging it up and restricting the flow... |

If your boat has a hatch over the gas tank like my old 88 does just take that up and take a look, you might be able to get that tube out of there without making holes. |

With the skis..line...wet vest..covers and other misc items going into my locker there always seems to be debris in there. I try and clean the locker but no way to keep all debris from flowing to bilge, where its a real pain to clean out. I was on my brothers bay boat this weekend and saw his bait well drain had a screw in type filter screen. I'm going to see if i can rig one for my locker drain and for where it goes into bilge to prevent debris going in that line from either direction. |
