Thought I'd upload & share some pic's of a teak swim platform I bought damaged, off a Malibu wake boat.
Had a mate reshape and repair it & a local Marine Fabrication shop make the brackets & poles.
Not bad for a total cost of under AU$750! 8)

I like that! The wood looks like it needs oiled but maybe that's the lighting in the pics.

Wow, that looks awesome!

I think teak looks great when cared for properly. My first boat had a teak swim platform and teak all throughout the cabin. I actually miss the teak.

Very nice, it looks like it was built with it. That little trap door, did you add it so the drive can tilt fully up?

Shucks, thanks fellas!
Our old family boat had an enourmous teak platform that we left natural/ untreated.
Salt water & sun gives the teak a nice light grey look, which I quite like.
I'll give it a season untreated & see how it goes...

Teak can become a bit splintery if left to dry too much (woodworking is another of my too-many hobbies). I also like the untreated look, but keep a close eye for cracks & splinters.

That is really sharp looking and the craftsmanship stellar! Is it heavy? I would bet as light or lighter than a fiberglass platform.
To quote my granddaughter; "Too Cool for School"!

LouC- The trapdoor is so you can reach down and drop the wedge on the Malibu it came off of.

^^^ This guy's on the money!
The door does allow the leg to come up slightly higher, but not to maximum height.
This won't pose a problem with towing, as it's plenty high enough.
I'll monitor the splinter risks, thanks! 8)

<edit> I'd hazard a guess that it weighs in the vicinity of 40kg.

Nice one Daz. Looks great. Did you have a platform before ?
Suppose you could install a couple of small shims in the arms to holt the tilt a little sooner.

This boat has never had a platform, mate.
Shims in the arms? What arms? :?
