I've looked at my drive constantly over the years looking for the zerk to grease the kimball bearing but cannot seem to locate it. I'm sure it's right under my nose but want to get some grease added while i'm about to get the winterization project going :(

thanks in advance!

Well thats the problem; you should be looking for a gimble bearing not a Kimble bearing, just kidding. The zerk is on the right hand side of the transom mount.

On the transom shield, the same height as the trim sender, unless it has had a "sealed for life" ( i.e. sealed for short life) bearing fitted, in which case the tube may be blanked off

Cause its not on the "drive".... like Graham and Lou said, its on the transom mount/shield, right hand side (as you look at the stern/transom). Now, also like Graham said, it could be a non-greasable gimble. What year is your VP SX?

Here's a picture of my 1996 sx drive and the location of where the grease zerk is located on the transom shield.
