I assume you have the "Sunsport" Seating? Please post picture.
I have the sunsport seating, and have done impeller changes without removing the seat. Quite awkward hanging over the engine.
I did remove the entire rear seat once, and had good access for removing and rebuilding the raw water pump. I also changed the circulations pump while I had access. My Sunsport seat has an upper back rest that is stationary, and a lower back rest and bottom cushion that can fold out like a futon. Here were the basic steps to remove the seat. Could take two people about an hour:
(starboard" refers to the white plastic panels)
1. In engine bay, remove any partitions at sides of engine that attach to back of seat.
2. In engine bay, remove starboard panels at the two sides which extend into side pocket area.
3. In engine bay, remove any nuts which attach the upper backrest to the starboard.
4. Under side gunnels, remove any nuts and screws which attach the upper backrest to gunnels. (use a mirror to see)
5. Remove the upper backrest.
6. Remove 4 screws which attach the "futon" to the starboard base (the screws which slide in slots.)
7. Remove the "futon"
8. Remove all screws which attach the base to the floor.
9. Remove the base in one piece.
(use sealer when re-installing any screws into the floor)
